English Martyrs' Church ... alterations & adaptations!

At a recent meeting of the Diocesan Art, Architecture & Heritage Committee the final stage of approval was given for plans to be examined for structural changes to English Martyrs' Church which would include the alteration of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel into a meeting room, together with kitchen & toilet facilities.  This in turn would lead to placing of Blessed Sacrament in the main body of the church, together with the slight reorganisation of the sanctuary area that this would necessitate.

This is exciting news for the Parish & hopefully will provide necessary meeting space together with an enhanced spiritual base for us all.

Watch this space for developments !

Consultation Regarding the Vigil Mass at St. Joseph’s Church

A vote was taken at the end of last Saturday’s Vigil Mass at St. Josephs with regard to the proposal that the Vigil Mass be celebrated at 5.30pm.

75 parishioners voted for the change; 10 to leave the Mass time at 6.30pm. The consultation offered on this matter was as full as it could be & all views
were considered.

The change of Mass time will commence on Saturday 14th April. The Saturday
morning Mass will also be moved to 10.00 am from this date to facilitate the working practises of the Parish clergy.
